November 16 & 17: Bob Dylan live at The Supper Club NY 1993

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_message message_box_color=”mulled_wine” icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-quote-left”]A mixture of old classics, songs he hadn’t played for a while and tracks from World Gone Wrong were all treated to the true authentic voice of Bob Dylan. Not only that but each show seemed better than the previous one and some songs, such as, “Queen Jane” & “Ring Them Bells” , were performed nearly as well as they have ever been, either before or since.
-Andrew Muir (Razor’s Edge)[/vc_message][/vc_column][/vc_row]

The concerts @ the Supper Club in Nov 1993 are considered by “most” fans to be “The Real MTV unplugged”. 4 fantastic shows in 2 days, all of them delivered at approximately 60 min.

Bob Dylan: 5 Brilliant live performances from the year 1993

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_message message_box_color=”mulled_wine” icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-quote-left”]My whole thing has been about disallowing demagoguery. The songs I recorded in my past, they’re almost like demos. I’m still trying to figure out what some of them are about. The more I play them, the better idea I have of how to play them. My audience has changed over a couple of times now, a lot of ‘em don’t even know ‘Like a Rolling Stone.’ They’re not enchanted by the past, and I don’t allow the past to encroach on the present.

bob dylan great woods 1993

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_message message_box_color=”mulled_wine” icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-quote-left”]..nothing short of amazing. The performance is dead-on, and the vocals are way up front in your face. The recording is perfect digital quality right off of the soundboard. The show itself is among the best of the tour, and the song line-up is a taper’s dream..
~bobsboots.com

..in near  perfect quality and showcasing a focused, “biting” Dylan peformance  that simply sizzles. The opening number sets the table nicely, with a rough and tumble vocal and lengthy harp fills that indicate Bob is in a lively mood on this night. The line recording catches every little nuance and inflection with startling clarity.

July 21: Bob Dylan @ Camden, London 1993 – Photos

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_message message_box_color=”mulled_wine” icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-quote-left”]Dylan makes a surprise appearance at Camden Lock market, an open-air market in Camden Town, London, where he is filmed in a restaurant called Fluke’s Cradle and walking around in a top hat and frock coat by ex-Eurythmic Dave Stewart. The resultant footage appears as a promotional video for “Blood in My Eyes” cleverly lip-synched and intercut with shots of Dylan signing autographs and walking among the crowds. Dylan is accompanied by his regular bodyguard, Jim Callaghan, but remains very approach- able throughout the afternoon, even when dining at the restaurant.

On July 21, 1993 Bob Dylan walked around in Camden Town, London in a top hat filming the video for “Blood In My Eyes”. He signed autographs and seemed relaxed. There are many cool pictures of this event, here are 18. And of course the video for “Blood In My Eyes”.
